Support WWHSTA projects and initiatives!
How can you get involved?
WWHSTA is committed to both developing new areas for ski touring and to improving our existing areas. Building bridges, installing signage, developing infrastructure such as washrooms, requires time and money.
Donate your time
We welcome and challenge our members to get involved in WWHSTA projects. We run several events each year, both on-snow and outside of the ski season.
These are great opportunities to meet people, learn about the “West Wind Standard” we use to guide our forest practices and develop new skills. There are opportunities outside of on-hill work as well. WWHSTA is keen to help encourage ecological diversity and ecosystem health, as such we get involved in projects like building bat boxes and wood duck nesting boxes. We are also keen on hearing your ideas and suggestions.
Help us build partnerships and sponsorships
Each year, the ski touring opportunities in central Ontario draw more people to the highlands. WWHSTA is excited to grow along with this demand. We are always looking to build our network of businesses and organizations that are interested in supporting human-powered winter recreation in Central Ontario.
